Chapter 49:  Aysia is the reason I don’t do meth. Rest in peace.

“Fuuuuck!” Aysia, the girl from the photos, screams, stomping around with a bloody knife in her right hand. There’s a puddle of vomit on the floor next to her.

Aysia slams her fist against the wall, sobbing incessantly. She rolls down her baggy left sleeve. Blood drips from Aysia’s right wrist. Her eyes dissect the horizontal scabs on her left forearm.

The knife’s tip traces up and down her arm. Aysia pulls her knife back. Her glossy, incoherent eyes brace for impact.

“Wait!” I yell.

Aysia lazily looks at me as she plunges her knife into my chest.
